David Miville
David Miville est agronome – malherbologiste au Laboratoire d’expertise et de diagnostic en phytoprotection (LEDP) du MAPAQ depuis 2018. Il possède un baccalauréat en agronomie (2013) et une maîtrise en malherbologie (2015) de l’Université Laval à Québec. De 2015 à 2018, il a été professionnel de recherche en malherbologie pour le professeur Gilles Leroux à l’Université Laval.
David est le responsable provincial du dossier de la résistance aux herbicides et est aussi en charge du diagnostic moléculaire de la résistance aux herbicides au LEDP. Il est le coordonnateur du «Plan d’intervention phytosanitaire pour lutter contre l’amarante tuberculée». Un projet d’une durée de quatre ans, lancé en 2020, ayant pour but de venir en aide aux producteurs aux-prises avec l’amarante tuberculée et de limiter sa propagation sur le territoire québécois.

He has a bachelor’s degree in agronomy (2013) and a master’s degree in weed science (2015) from Laval University in Québec city. From 2015 to 2018, he worked as a research professional in weed science for Professor Gilles Leroux at Laval University.
David is in charge of the provincial herbicide resistance dossier and in charge of herbicide resistance diagnostics based on molecular markers at the LEDP. He also coordinates the «Phytosanitary action plan against waterhemp». This 4 year action plan, launched in 2020, aims at assisting growers struggling with waterhemp and limiting the spread of the species across the province.
